Milan Trash and Recycling

Roadside Trash and Recylables will be picked up on Tuesdays

Paper, Magazines and Cardboard will be picked up on the first Wednesday of each month

Trash may be placed in Garbage Bags. . . Recyclables may not

Glass should be placed in a separate container no larger than 10 gallons
Tin and Aluminum should be placed in a separate container not more than 20 gallons
Plastic #1 and #2 should be placed in a separate container no larger than 20 gallons
Paper, News Paper, Magazines and Cardboard should not be placed in Plastic Bags,
but in either a Paper Bag or Cardboard Box

All Recyclables should be Rinsed and Drained.
Covers should be removed and placed in the Regular Trash

The Recycling Center is located on Rte110 near the Milan - Berlin line
Look for the Bud Man on the sign
You will need to obtain a ticket from the Milan Town Office to use the facility
The book of tickets is good for ( 3 ) separate days.
If you let the attendant know that you will be making multiple trips on the same day
only one ticket will be needed for that day

No trash that can be left at Road Side can be brought to the Recycle Center

Some Recyclables such as Paper, and Glass can be left at both Road Side and the Recycle Center

Some Recyclables have a fee for Disposal
Refrigerators and Air Conditioners cost $10
Stuffed Chairs and Furniture are $5
These fees can be paid at either the Milan Town Hall or to the attendant

Recycle Center is closed on Sunday and Monday
open 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Tuesday through Saturday
